HOW TO STYLE CHUNKY CALF BOOTS

HOW TO STYLE CHUNKY CALF BOOTS

The latest trends aren’t always for us tall ladies, but when we can pull it off, we should always try. Chunky boots weren’t always my thing, but these Gia X Pernille Teisbaek boots are. They can be styled up or down and worn season after season. They’re like a junky calf moto boot.

I’ll go through the pros and cons to give you an idea of what to expect if you order these.

Let’s jump into the Pros!

PROS

When it comes to these boots, my first thought was the quality. The quality is top-tier. The leather is amazing! For some, you may think they’re too hard, but I recommend some leather softener or take them to your local cobbler to stretch the leather a bit.

Another pro would be you can style them up with dresses, shorts, and skirts. I wouldn’t wear jeans as they may not fit, but I will get into that further down this blog. Try wearing leggings and all of the above, and you should be good to go.

My last pro would be they will last for a long time. Since the leather is sturdy, you’re sure to have these around for a long time.

Now for the cons!

CONS

There are always some cons to anything you purchase, these are no different.

The weight is the first thing I notice. These boots are super heavy, so if you’re not into that, pass. Otherwise, grab these now. The sole is very thick, but it is the style. However, if you’re a person who likes to feel their car pedal, you might want to pass again. Otherwise, go for it.

The calf space is not for thicker legs. I’m sorry ladies, but they’re not. I have medium calf size, and they just fit, but with a little slouch. They do slouch on me, but that’s okay.

And lastly, there is no zipper, ugh. I think this is the worst part for me. It wouldn’t be such a struggle, but one is needed. Maybe one right by the ankle. Otherwise, the boots are nice.
