THE #1 PROBLEM ALL TALL WOMEN HAVE

I’m sure all of you ladies who are 5’9 and up have this issue more so than the ladies who also fall in this category that are only 5’8.

Drum roll, please, we are all unable to find clothes that fit our body type. This is by far the most common issue tall women have and probably the most annoying. When it comes to shopping for tall women, it’s not the easiest but, it’s not difficult either. It just takes a little more work than the average height woman has to do. Here are a few things you can do to elevate some of the pain of shopping.

RESEARCH

I will say this 1 million times. Doing research will save you a world of time and trouble. As a tall woman myself, and, being born and raised in NYC it was something that wasn’t so hard because we had a clothing store on every corner in the city but if you’re in a city where it’s difficult to find clothing, start with any of the below in your research guide.

  • Who else has these struggles
  • What brands cater to you
  • Where do you find you have the most trouble
  • Why are you struggling
  • When do you feel most comfortable

FIND DESIGNERS THAT CATER TO YOU

The importance of finding brands and designers that cater to you is life-changing. As I stated above, this will help you in so many ways when you’re out there shopping. Start by looking in your closet, and see what brands you currently purchase. This is one of the quickest ways you can start to find the brands that cater to you, look at your current wardrobe.

CHECK HIGH STREET BRANDS/STORES

When it comes to high street brands like Zara, Mango, Levi, J Crew, and the Gap, they cater to tall women or at least have items that will fit us. I for one love Mango just a little more than Zara mainly for the quality but, all in all, these are pretty decent brands you can shop from.

GET CREATIVE

Getting creative is a must, especially if you have a hard time finding brands that cater to you. So, what do I mean by getting creative? I simply mean sometimes turning a mini dress into a top or shopping the men’s sections. So don’t overlook your creativity in this area.
