Let’s talk about our amazing closets! First, some women are not blessed to have a walk-in closet, but that doesn’t matter. The goal is to make the space as boutique-style as possible, a place you love to enter since it’s the first place you go after you have showered.
Being organized typically starts when a person is a child, but it doesn’t mean you can’t grow into a well-organized adult, but it doesn’t mean you can’t develop this habit if you didn’t grow up this way.
As a woman who has always been tidy, it comes easy to me. I also learned ways to stay organized even on my lazy days. I’ll break down a few things and items I always keep on deck to stay organized.
THINGS I DO
PUT IT BACK
First, I always, and repeat, I always put my items back after every use. It’s a great way to avoid waking up or spending most of your weekend cleaning up.
It only takes a few seconds to put your items back in their prospective spaces.
MAXIMIZE THE SPACE
Maximizing and utilizing your space is by far the most important thing you can do. Other, you will miss out on the opportunity to create additional storage and hanging space for your belongings.
Some of the things thing I did that you can do is, add in additional shelving. It’s a great way to display your shoes, bags, and other accessories.
Try IKEA or TARGET are great affordable places to purchase shelves or shelving units to maximize the space under or above the space in your closet. You can also add a small dresser underneath your hanging clothes. It’s a way you have everything in one place. Here are a few of my suggestions.
IKEA
ADDED A CUSTOM WARDROBE
Ikea has the PAX wardrobe system that is the most affordable and custom-looking once all the pieces are together. I chose to create a space in an extra bedroom and create my dream wardrobe without breaking the bank.
