HOW TO STYLE FLOWY CLOTHING

Typically, I wouldn’t write about this style because I’m not 100% into it, but I find that I am gravitating to it more and more. As a tall woman, it definitely can be a bit daunting when trying to find flowy dresses and skirts that fit us well. They are either too short when they are supposed to be a maxi or too short when it’s supposed to be a halter-style dress. The struggle of being tall!

When styling flowy clothing, it always brings a sense of softness to your look. Regardless of what you have on if it’s flowy, it screams softness and, most people equate it with femininity.

FLOWY TOPS

Flowy tops are often found at Fee People, ASOS, and LuLus which all of these places are affordable. When it comes to Free People, they tend to sell what we call Peasant Tops. These are typically wide neck, short and puffed or long and full sleeves, and elastic or smocking at the waist, cuffs, and neckline. I would say tops like this go really well with any of the below items. But keep in mind the material of the bottom you select if you want to keep a completely soft look or not.

  • High Waist Satin Pants
  • High Waist Satin Skirts
  • Wide Leg Jeans

  • Tullie Skirts
  • Pleaded Skirts
  • Culotte Shorts
  • Denim Shorts
  • High Waist Jeans
  • Peseant Skirts
