Let me start by saying that I know everyone is not into luxury, but the girls that are, this article is for you. Girls who aren’t into luxury but love fashion, you can still apply these tips to high street brands or your local department store.
There are tons of ways you can get luxury clothes, shoes, and bags for less in this day and age. Many women who buy luxury items resell them at consignment shops to make room for new items. This leads me to my first tip. Shopping at consignment shops, whether that’s online or in-store.
SHOP AT CONSIGNMENT SHOPS
There are tons of online consignment shops that you can shop at in today’s world. Here are a few examples. Fashionphile, The Real Real, Farfecth, and Vestiaire Collective. So, consider shopping for pre-owned luxury fashion items, which can often be found in excellent condition at consignment shops or online marketplaces.
Consignment shops have always been the go-to place for ladies who wanted a luxury feel but didn’t want to jump in and pay the full price. Always check the wealthier neighborhood store. You will be surprised by what you will find.
Speaking of consignment shops, don’t forget about thrift stores. It’s like the cousin to consignment shops but much cheaper.
THRIFT STORES
Thrift stores are a hit or miss, but you can find vintage bags and shoes. I have even witnessed women find some jewelry. Depending on the neighborhood your thrift store is in, you can either be really lucky or not.
It’s definitely not for everyone, but if you have the patience and time, you can make out good with vintage pieces that are hard to come by today. It’s literally like shopping at a sale event at a department store. The prices are just that good.
Jumping into sale shopping. It’s the other way to get luxury items for less.
SHOPPING DURING THE SALE SEASON
One great way to get luxury fashion items for less is to shop during sales or discount seasons. Many high-end retailers offer end-of-season sales or clearance events where you can snag designer items at a fraction of their original price.
Another option is to shop at outlet stores. They tend to have 50%-70% off their items. Sawgrass Mills in Florida is one of my favs. They have just enough stores to satisfy my luxury wants. Some items will be considered investment pieces due to the price, but it’s certainly lower than the designer boutique.
Finally, consider investing in timeless pieces that will never go out of style, as they can be worn for years to come and provide more value for your money.
The Botton line is if you want luxury for less, you have to put in th work and do a little research to find the best deals.
