Let’s jump right into it! When you are at the beginning stages of creating a dream wardrobe, it’s important to have a plan and strategy. Without this, you’ll set your wardrobe up for failure instead of success. When I say success, I simply mean buying things that add value to your wardrobe, and I don’t mean just luxury items.
I’ll break this article down into 4 sections so that we can get to the root of your style dilemma and find a solution for it, so here we go.
WHAT HAVE YOU TRIED
In this section, we’ll talk about what are some of the things you’ve tried that haven’t worked out in your favor, hence why you are in this situation today.
1. You’ve been shopping for any and everthing
When you’re shopping you have to have a plan in mind, otherwise, you’ll just end up unhappy with your clothes later down the line. You’ve tried mirroring everything you saw on Pinterest, Google, and IG and you’re still not happy.
2. You’ve impulsed shopped thinking it would help
Impulse shopping will only lead you to have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. Being strategic and having a plan is when you’ll build the wardrobe of your dreams
3 You’ve been shoppong without a strategy
I’ll say this 1000 more times on my blog but, if your wardrobe is missing the essentials you’ll most likely struggle to create a basic outfit. Grab yourself a free wardrobe checklist and start shopping from there, only buy the things you know you would wear and that would add value to your existing wardrobe.
WHY THIS HAVEN’T WORK
When we try to take matters into our own hands and don’t seek help when we most need it, we end up losing in the end. We overspend and buy things that end up just sitting in our wardrobe collecting dust. The goal is to wear your clothes and not have them just sit. Here’s why it hasn’t worked for you.
1. Copying someone elses style
When you don’t have style clarity, you end up copying what everyone else is wearing on the internet, you try dressing like your favorite influencer but it never seems to work out the way you planned. Never copy only pull inspiration.
2. It’s a bad habit
This bad habit will ultimately do more harm than good. There’s no strategy or plan in copying someone else’s style.
WHY YOU SHOULD FOLLOW THESE TIPS
1. Create a functional wardrob
No wardrobe is complete without the essentials
2. Easy outfit creations
Having the basic wardrobe essentials will ease the stress of getting dressed in the morning.
3. Set your wardrobe up for success
When you have the basic wardrobe essentials, you’re essentially setting your wardrobe up for success. This is what we want to do, start on the right foot so that’s we are not in the situation we are in now.
Create a shopping list of all of your wardrobe basics that are needed and start investing in those pieces first.
