What is the perfect outfit?
When creating the perfect outfit, it must consist of four key elements. Fit, Fabric, Style, and Color. The four pillars of style are what I call them. They are required in each outfit for it to fall in the perfect category.
Keep in mind that this pillar has nothing to do with designer items. It would be solely based on the elements themselves without all the fluff.
Now, how do we go about creating the perfect outfit using the four pillars of style? Here’s how: Choose a Pillar and analyze your wardrobe like this.
FIT
Choose Tops, Bottoms, Dresses, and Jackets, and analyze how each item fits your body type. If it’s too big, it can always be tailored, but if it’s too small, there isn’t anything you can do about it, should be purged from your closet.
Fit is probably the most important element when creating the perfect outfit.
FABRIC
Choosing a long-lasting material with good quality elevates the look in minutes. Choose fabrics that are natural, breathable, and fit your current lifestyle. Think about your environment and how it will hold up during each season. Synthetic material won’t hold up to long and only look good for a short time. So, when creating the perfect outfit, limit the synthetic pieces.
STYLE
The fun part, Style! It makes the outfit pop. It can vary from person to person as style is an individual choice. Some like a more classic look, while others prefer an edgy look, but it’s the creative juice you would add to your outfit.
COLOR
Another element that’s a personal choice. Color can add so much pizazz to an outfit. Color also can create the perfect outfit & look depending on the colors you choose. More muted and classic colors may be more appealing as opposed to bright and loud to some, but again, it’s a personal choice.
Think about your favorite colors and what they give off to another person, do a little research and determine the meaning behind your specific colors. You want to choose colors that express your personality and style.
