When it comes to being stylish, there are many ways to do this. From simple things like adding accessories to your outfit, adding a simple blazer, or even layering, the options are endless when it comes to being more stylish.
I for one, love to add different pieces to an outfit to take it from a basic outfit to a stylish outfit. With that, here are 5 ways to be more stylish.
STATEMENT JEWLERY
An upgrade to a basic outfit in minutes! with a simple necklace or a fancy pair of earrings, statement jewelry is a must in every wardrobe. Without these key pieces, your outfit will remain basic. Sorry to tell you this, but it’s true!
So let’s upgrade these outfits one step at a time, don’t rush out to buy every piece of jewelry you see, rather start a wish list on what your wardrobe will need and get shopping.
LAYERING CLOTHING
If applied right, your outfit can go from basic to chic instantly. Remember, adding a simple layer can take your outfit to the next level.
Here are a few ways to layer your clothing.
- Mix up the lengths and, let each layer show
- Layer with a long cardigans and keep the entire look monochromatic
- Rock a pair of pants under your long dress with a slit
- Double up a Denim jacket or blazer with a trench coat
- Add a Poncho on top of a turtle neck
STEP OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE
Show apart of your body that you normally show. I typically won’t show much of my chest area because of the fear of attracting the wrong attention but, it’s something that I’m working on. Doing everything with taste makes a big difference.
ADD HATS
When it comes to adding hats to your outfit, choose the one that suits you best. I personally love fedora hats and greek fisherman hats ( fiddler’s hats). Those are just some of my favs and, they work well with my style. It doesn’t mean I won’t wear a baseball cap or a barrette but, I prefer those.
SHOW OFF WHAT YOUR MOST CONFIDENT ABOUT
Since this is a blog dedicated to tall women, I must say legs would be the body part I’m most confident about. As a child it wasn’t something I loved but, as I grew into a woman, I’ve grown to them. So show off your best asset and slay!
